Cookie Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This policy explains which ones getcreatr.com uses and how you control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
2. How we use cookies
We sort our cookies into two categories, and you choose which ones we may use in the cookie banner the first time you visit.
- Strictly necessary - remember your cookie choice. These are always on, because without them we would have to ask you on every page.
- Analytics - Google Analytics and PostHog. These are off until you accept them. If you reject them, no analytics cookies are set; PostHog may still count your visit using a privacy-preserving hash that stores nothing on your device.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Cookies we set
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
creatr_consent | Creatr | Remembers your cookie choice | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your session | Analytics | 2 years |
ph_<ID>_posthog | PostHog | Anonymous visitor and session ID for analytics and session replay | Analytics | 1 year |
After you accept analytics cookies, PostHog also keeps a copy of its identifiers in your browser’s local and session storage. Whichever way you choose, PostHog records that choice in local storage (__ph_opt_in_out_<ID>) so the choice is respected. Browsers may cap cookie lifetimes below the durations listed (Chrome caps them at about 13 months).
4. Third-party cookies (Google and YouTube)
If you are signed in to a Google account, your browser already holds Google cookies such as SID, HSID, SSID, APISID, SAPISID, __Secure-1PSID, __Secure-3PSID, and NID. We do not set or read these. They belong to Google and your browser may send them when this site loads Google Analytics (only after you accept analytics cookies) or a YouTube video. Our videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which Google states does not store cookies until you play a video. See how Google uses cookies.
5. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. When you withdraw consent we stop analytics and delete the analytics cookies we can reach. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies means we will ask for your choice again on each visit.
